The Parent Challenge

Encourage your child to make the right choices about sex.

As a parent I commit to doing all I can to encourage my teen to save sex until marriage by:

  1. Being a Parent

    • Teens are looking for boundaries and someone who will care enough to give them direction. (Even if they don’t act like it.)

  2. Communicating openly and honestly.

    • Explaining and modeling our family values.

    • Setting family standards for dating.

    • Teaching the consequences of pre-marital sex.

    • Connecting with my teen frequently.

  3. Loving, listening and encouraging my child to make healthy choices.

    • Being available

    • Loving unconditionally

    • Forgiving when they "mess up"

  4. Parents

    • It’s never too late to improve a relationship with a child.

    • Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.

    • Be clear on your beliefs; do NOT compromise.
