The Parent Challenge
Encourage your child to make the right choices about sex.
As a parent I commit to doing all I can to encourage my teen to save sex until marriage by:
Being a Parent
Teens are looking for boundaries and someone who will care enough to give them direction. (Even if they don’t act like it.)
Communicating openly and honestly.
Explaining and modeling our family values.
Setting family standards for dating.
Teaching the consequences of pre-marital sex.
Connecting with my teen frequently.
Loving, listening and encouraging my child to make healthy choices.
Being available
Loving unconditionally
Forgiving when they "mess up"
Parents
It’s never too late to improve a relationship with a child.
Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.
Be clear on your beliefs; do NOT compromise.
